2013 Avennio
2013 Avennio

Avennio, the ancient name for Avignon, France, inspired this Rhone-style blend of 60% Mourvedre and 40% Syrah. The grapes for Avennio were sourced exclusively from the Rattlesnake Hills AVA near Yakima, Washington. After hand harvesting the fruit the last week of October, the grapes were brought down to San Diego for vinification. Avennio was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
