2019 Grenache
Grenache, or Garnacha, is one of the most widely planted red wine grape varieties in the world. It's a late ripener so it prefers hot and dry conditions like those in the Sierra Foothills in Amador County, California.
The brilliantly clear, reflective and super-pale ruby color suggests that it’s a light body wine. At 14.2% ABV it is far from that. Spicy strawberry jam and tart cherry notes align with subdued tannins and racy acidity. Aged two years in neutral oak barrels preserves the luscious fruit expression of Amador County Grenache.
Pair with grilled cheese burgers, garlic shrimp and fresh spinach salad. Mild cheddar
