2020 Avennio

Avennio, the ancient name for Avignon, France, inspired this Mourvèdre dominant wine. The grapes for Avennio were sourced exclusively from the Rattlesnake Hills AVA near Yakima, Washington. After hand harvesting the fruit the last week of October, the grapes were brought down to San Diego for vinification. Avennio was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.

Dark purple and full bodied. This Syrah dominant blend (80%) showcases the best of Washington fruit. Deep and complex elements of ripe black stone fruit mates with the earthy elements of Mourvèdre (20%). Rich, enduring oaky finish.

Beef tenderloin, herbed carrots and rutabaga, Gorgonzola
