Cabernet Franc originates from Southwestern France but has become a favorite worldwide.

 It is a parent to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carménère.Nevertheless, it can be difficult to find a great bottle of single varietal Cabernet Franc.This Cabernet Franc was grown in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA in Eastern Washington then vinified and barrel aged for 30 months in San Diego.

Medium bodied elegance. The brightness of fresh violets meet ripe raspberry and blackberry with a soft, graphite minerally finish.

Pair with turkey w/cranberry, lamb gyros, aged Gouda cheese

Barbera is the most popular varietal in the Piemonte region of Italy. In Italian, Piemonte  means “foot of the mountain.” Fittingly, Barbera also thrives in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in El Dorado County CA. This Barbera was sourced entirely from the Sierra Foothills AVA near Placerville. After hand-harvesting, sorting and destemming, the grapes were brought to San Diego to vinify. Aged 24 months in neutral French oak barrels.

Deep ruby and very low tannin. Super fruity red currant joins Rainier cherry and ripe blackberry for a full bodied crowd pleaser.

Pair with charcuterie, margherita pizza , ricotta stuffed shells, buffalo mozzarella

Mataro is an ancient varietal introduced to Valencia (Spain) by the Phoenicians around 500 BC.  Known in Spain as Monastrell and in France as Mourvèdre, it was introduced to California in the 1860s. This Mataro was grown in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA in Eastern Washington then vinified and barrel aged for 30 months in San Diego.

Medium garnet, full-bodied. Showcases the balance between fruit and savory. Black plum and blackberry meets thyme and bergamot (Earl Grey Tea). Finish is pure, clean and lingering.

Pair with roasted poultry, game, rustic stew, grilled veggies. Smoked cheddar.

With Austrian ancestry, the Blaufränkisch grape is well known throughout Central Europe. This grape also thrives in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA south of Yakima, Washington.  After hand-harvesting, sorting and destemming, the grapes were brought to San Diego to vinify. Aged 24 months in neutral French oak barrels.

Medium body and light ruby in color. Dried cherry, cranberry and rhubarb join the delicate bouquet with spicy cracked white pepper. Bright and very low in tannin.

Pair with chicken paprika, crab cakes, sweet & salty bites like prosciutto wrapped dates, honey chèvre

Layered and complex, a full-bodied Super Tuscan-style blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Petit Verdot. Ripe black cherry and cola join elements of dried herbs and leather with a whisper of toasted oak.

Pair with braised short ribs, fennel sausage, marinated portabella. Gorgonzola

Tempranillo is native to Spain and is the fourth most widely planted grape in the world. It is often referred to as Spain’s noble grape.

This is 100% Tempranillo from the Rattlesnake Hills AVA in Washington. It was vinified in San Diego and barrel aged for 30 months in American oak barrels.

Herbal aromas of green tea leaves combine with earthy smells of fresh soil and cracked black pepper. Black plum and dried fig notes round out this medium garnet colored wine.

Pair with smoked paprika beef roast, paella, Manchego cheese
